Meet Annette Stephens – The Gracious Violin
Annette began her journey with the violin as a child in California, starting at the young age of five. At age eight she joined the Youth Music Monterey Orchestra for one year. After moving to Michigan with her family, she continued private lessons and joined the Kalamazoo Junior Symphony Orchestra, where she played until her senior year of high school. While attending Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, she auditioned for the International Youth Symphony Orchestra, and in 2011 toured Germany, France, and Belgium. The experience broadened her appreciation of music and how impactful it truly can be.
She started performing at weddings during her teen years, and played at retirement homes alongside her sister accompanying on the piano for holiday concerts. After completing an associate’s degree in Michigan, she moved to Texas. Annette also began performing on the worship team at different churches. She discovered her love for teaching violin to children and has been professionally doing so since 2024. It was during this time The Gracious Violin was born from a love of creating special moments that add depth and beauty to events. From weddings, church events, quinceañeras and other special celebrations, The Gracious Violin creates a musical experience to remember.
